Securities Times and the National Venture Capital Association Alliance, with a focus on the Greater Bay Area, convened the 14th Venture Capital Conference as scheduled. Themed "Seizing New APEC Openness Opportunities to Empower Capital Market Development," the event brought together regulators, leading VC firms, tech-innovation enterprises, as well as experts from listed companies, investment banking, and commercial banking. Discussions centered around the standardized development of the VC industry and the efficient integration of technology and capital.
As a national financial daily newspaper under the auspices of People's Daily, Securities Times has long been committed to tracking the evolution of the venture capital sector. Since its inception in 2009, the conference has been held for thirteen successive sessions, earning recognition from the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Science and Technology, local CSRC offices, and the stock exchanges in Shenzhen, Shanghai, and Hong Kong.
At this year's sub-forum, "Intergenerational Collision in Tech Innovation: Founders & Investors from the 70s to 90s," Zhu Pai, CEO of Efung Capital, was invited as a panelist. He joined Chi Huitao (President of Shanghai Science and Technology Venture Capital Group), Xiong Wei (Founding Partner of Qiansheng Capital), Chen Yingfeng (Partner of Songhe Capital), and Yan Wentao (Partner of Hillhouse Ventures) on stage. Zhu remarked, "Our mission is no longer to replicate past domestic investment approaches, but to elevate Chinese investment to a 'global innovation' dimension and pursue a genuinely global footprint."
Before the fervent discussions on stage subsided, another highly anticipated agenda item unfolded: the official unveiling of the "Securities Times 2026 Golden Eagle Venture Capital Awards & Rising Star Startup Awards." Efung Capital was honored with the Outstanding Investor in Healthcare award.
The awards program, open to applicants nationwide and globally, sought to recognize top-tier investment institutions and benchmark innovation projects. Through a rigorous and impartial selection process, it identified VC "Golden Eagles" distinguished by their industry vision and investment strength, as well as "Rising Star" enterprises brimming with innovative vitality and growth potential. The initiative aims to advance the high-quality development of VC firms, bolster the robust growth of tech startups, and unite the industry in forging a new ecosystem for venture capital.
Looking ahead, Efung Capital remains committed to its investment thesis of "hard tech + early stage," driving more deep-tech enterprises to bridge the gap from laboratory validation to capital market readiness.
